Today we’re launching a new version of NChart3D, our universal charting library. The most exciting thing about this new release is that NChart3D is now available for Universal Windows Platform. We put a lot of time and effort into this and we are very proud to share it with you! The new NChart3D version brings awesome charts right into your UWP application! Now you can get all the benefits of cross-platform development and create stunning fully-interactive 2D and 3D charts and graphs on machines running Windows and macOS, as well as iOS and Android devices.
You can write in all programming languages supported by UWP including C#, C++ and Visual Basic, as well as target multiple devices - desktops, mobiles and Xbox. If you are already familiar with NChart3D, it is easy to start since NChart3D UWP API is similar to APIs we offer for other platforms. There is a quick start-up tutorial available at https://nchart3d.com/docs-and-apis/nchart-win-doc/tutorial.htm
In addition to this major improvement, we've also implemented a brush scale legend and improved support of brush scale in surface series. The image below shows these new features in action.
In this new release we have also separated the native and Xamarin packages on our website. The main reason we did this is for download size. Besides, those who download Xamarin usually do not need native libraries and vice versa. This change will affect the iOS and Android versions of NChart3D.
